A well‑designed living area can dramatically change how a home feels. Here’s how we transformed a dated living room into an open and welcoming space.

In many older homes, living rooms were designed with lots of small rooms and partitions. That often leads to dark corners, wasted space, and limited flow. In this project, we removed a non‑load-bearing wall to create an open floor plan, allowing natural light to flood the room.

We refinished or replaced the floors with light wood tones to enhance brightness. Walls received a fresh, neutral paint, and we added large windows (or enlarged existing ones) to maximize daylight and view. Finally, we created a feature wall — with stone or engineered wood — to give the room a focal point.

The result is a living space that feels larger, more welcoming, and functional — great for relaxing or hosting guests.
